5 powerful energies that grow your business

I want to share with you a reflection from Systems Sorceress & my director of marketing, Sam Garcia on a spiritual practice that you can start doing today to access the depths of your business’ magical power.

Sam writes:

As magical people who own businesses, we have more than our own energy. We have a myriad of external energies to draw upon.

There’s the magically obvious — our rituals & spirit. The forces that we communicate with through our craft and our consistency.

But we also have the very mundane external energies within our business. Our team. Our network. Tech automations. The systems we have in place.

Both of these aspects - the magical & the mundane - are so powerful and important to have in place. They multiply our impact.

Because of course we should be working on our own magic to amplify our personal power. But our business is a separate entity from ourselves, so we can design it to act as a house for energy to build up on its own.

It builds up its own assets. It’s own identity (that’s what branding is).

And soon enough it has a power of its own, energy of its own. We can draw upon it & have it working for us.

This is the major mistake I see magical people make when trying to grow their business.

They focus on their spellcraft, their mindset, and their own skills…

… while completely overlooking the immense power potential of their business’ Externalized Energies.

If you remember from yesterday’s email, businesses go through 3 phases: Startup, Owner Dependent, and Owner Independent.

When you start moving towards an Owner Independent business, the Externalized Energies of your business are so built up that you can start drawing energy (time, money, influence) from it.

Your business, as a separate entity than you, is so overflowing with power that it no longer needs you.

Think of a massive oak tree with its branches stretching high into the sky.

It looks like everything happening is above the surface…

But the exact same amount of mass that you see above the soil is also growing underground simultaneously in the root system.

Likewise… trying to grow a tree in a pot that’s too small for it will leave it stunted, because the root system isn’t big enough to support full growth.

If you want to grow your business, you need to make sure that you are putting as much energy into building a scalable foundation as you are focusing on growth.

Externalized Energies are how you build a root system for your business, so you can grow it into an enormous oak instead of a stunted bonsai.

And there’s a ripple effect...

As seeds fall from the tree, you can grow an entire oak forest. That’s the power of impact you can have on the world through your business.

So let’s look at 5 Externalized Energies that you can start building in your business today.

1. Reputation

The Externalized Energy of reputation is your business’ identity. AKA your brand.

Yes, this includes the visual elements of your branding, but it all starts with getting to know the Soul of your business. If you’ve never met the Soul of your business, you can do that easily, right now.

Here’s a guided meditation I’ve recorded for my clients that you can listen to today to commune with the Soul of your business.

2. Technology

Technology & automations allows our business to get things done with zero human intervention. Tech can send emails for you, manage a project for you, onboard clients & so much more.

Essentially… you want to make as much of your business as automated as possible. Because that’s going to give you time back in a big way. You don’t have to do those tasks & your team doesn’t have to either.

3. Money

Your business’ money is not your money. You get a salary & the overflow (profit), but the money that flows directly into your business is owned by your business.

This is a good thing.

As the Externalized Energy of MONEY builds up in your business, it can take care of you. It can become your sugar mama.

4. Intellectual Property

Your genius can be housed in your business as Intellectual Property. You can pull your brilliance out of your head & stick it into your business.

This is how you digitally clone yourself.

Suddenly you don’t have to teach the same concept over and over again to your clients. They’re captured as books, courses, videos, podcasts… so you can use that time in much more delightful ways.

5. Team

Building a team is an energy magnifier. When you have a team it’s now not all on you to complete all the tasks that need to get done.

Suddenly your hours matter less. You can spend time doing more impactful things for your business. (If you’ve created a 6-figure business, should you really be spending your time uploading videos?)

And you can buy expertise in the areas that you just don’t need to become an expert in, but will help you grow.

To integrate all of this, here’s a short assessment to figure out where you’re at & know which Externalized Energy to focus on first:

  1. Do I have a clear brand? Do I consistently use the same fonts, colors, and style? Do I consistently promote the same program or programs over and over again so they are building momentum & recognition on their own?

  2. Have I connected with the soul of my business, or am I still associating my business with my own identity?

  3. Does my business have its own bank account & debit card? Do I pay myself a salary & pay attention to the profit I get every month or quarter?

  4. Do I have the technology in place so that as much of my business that can be automated is automated? Do I have someone on my team that I can rely on to make sure that those are functioning properly?

  5. Do I have a team? Do I have enough money flowing in to allow me to hire people? Do I have the support I need to really step into the role as CEO of my business and the visionary?

  6. And then within my team, do I have standard operating procedures? Do I have a documented system so that my entire team, anyone on my team, or even people off the streets, could come in and carry out a task?

These are the questions you need to ask to understand the true potential you have to grow in the next 6 months.

Get to it & I’ll see you on Friday with the most overlooked key to upleveling your business (and life) quickly.

Sam
