Eradicate The Parasite Of The False Self

I. Intro: Meet the Parasite
Beware the false self.
Beware the voice of the ego who masquerades as your truest identity, ensnaring you in its web of deceit, pride, and pseudo-insight.
The false self obscures our connection to the absolute nature of our being, as well as our divine power. It hides in plain sight as the cacophonous amalgamation of inner voices and competing thoughts who tumultuously vie for your attention. It pulls you away from your power and inner knowing.
This false self is the final, and perhaps most important block to harnessing your magical power that I will identify for you.
When the false self dominates we become lost in shadows, clouded by the fog of forgetfulness that plagues the denizens of materiality.
The false self tricks you into its never-ending stream of words, opinions, reactions, and distortions. Youour mage-self, your God-self is lost in the fog -- leaving you with the dull boundaries of consensus reality.
The false self pulls your magical power away from you and leaves you with preoccupations with useless, non-magical things: television, gossip, junk food, and anything else it can use to distract you from your power.
And after it has taken your power from you, the false self siphons your power to support the world of consensus reality, reinforcing the façade of our civilization, which in turn sustains the false Self.
This is the behavior of a parasite – and that’s exactly what the false self is.
II. Banishing the Parasite, Creating the Miracle
Do you want to reconnect to your power and use it to work miracles in the world?
Do you want to transform your world into a heaven on earth instead of bolstering the superficial, destructive illusion of consensus reality.
Then we must banish the false self…
...and who will help us?
Saturn...god of death, caretaker of time, the great initiator.
Saturn eradicates the false self and brings you face-to-face with the eternal within and without.
Most people I know are frightened of working with Saturn...and for good reason.
Our current identification with the false self and attachment to its stories makes relinquishing the false self painful. Oftentimes not-so-pleasant circumstances arise to permanently end its tyranny.
While many are excited about the idea of magical power, aligning chakras, and dancing naked in the sunshine at a hippy commune….but not so excited about confronting their shadows, abandoning comforts, and descending into the dark night of the soul….the only place where we can meet that which is eternal within us.
III. Meet Saturn, God of Death
I have worked with Saturn consistently for a very long time...mainly as he is the ruler of my Capricorn Stellium, therefore an important deity for me to know well and be on good terms with.
Saturn, you may be surprised to hear, is one of the most angelic, ascended forces you will ever meet….Highest of the seven classical planets, straddling the boundary between our world of duality and the empyrean heights of divine ecstasy, Saturn watches the threshold.
And only the self, the earnest, and those willing to release their false self with grace may walk through the gates that he guards...and for those brave enough to beseech his help to make the passing…. the rewards are breathtaking.
We are presently in a very special time for working with Saturn, as I mentioned above, as he resides in Aquarius, his prefered sign of rulership. We get to see the very best, most angelic side of him for as long as he remains in this sign.
In GNOSIS, we will be doing a group Saturn ritual to converse with the elder, the supreme initiator, shepherd of mages. This ritual will take place during an immensely powerful window of opportunity...
...on February 6th Saturn will be cazimi (directly conjoined) the Sun on a Saturday in Saturn’s planetary hour...
This kind of alignment will not occur again for 90 years. With the entire GNOSIS community doing ritual at this time – our prayers and magical power reinforcing everyone else’s -- our magic will be supercharged...leaving our false selves little room to squirm back.
IV. The Saturn Ritual
But you can also do some powerful magic tomorrow. At sunrise (in the planetary hour of Saturn, calculate planetary hours here), you can perform the following ritual:
Find a flat surface, and place some black cloth over it.
Light a candle (ideally black), set it on the surface, and place a cup of water next to it.
Draw out the glyph of Saturn *insert glyph and place it on the table too.
If you have a tarot deck, you can also include the death card.
Light some strong saturnine incense such as vetiver or storax if you have it.

Once you have everything set up, recite the following incantation to this divine being, first written by Orpheus almost 3000 years ago:
ETHEREAL father, mighty Titan, hear,
Great fire of Gods and men, whom all revere:
Endued with various council, pure and strong,
To whom perfection and decrease belong.
Consumed by thee all forms that hourly die,
By thee restored, their former place supply;
The world immense in everlasting chains,
Strong and ineffable thy pow'r contains
Father of vast eternity, divine,
O mighty Saturn, various speech is thine:
Blossom of earth and of the starry skies,
Husband of Rhea, and Prometheus wife.
Obstetric Nature, venerable root,
From which the various forms of being shoot;
No parts peculiar can thy pow'r enclose,
Diffused thro' all, from which the world arose,
O, best of beings, of a subtle mind,
Propitious hear to holy prayers inclined;
The sacred rites benevolent attend,
And grant a blameless life, a blessed end.
8.At this point, you should feel the presence of Saturn quite strongly. The presence can feel cold and heavy, but also very still and filled with a solemn quiet. You may feel like you are in the presence of a great elder.
9. Tell Saturn that the offerings on the altar belong to him. In exchange, ask his help eradicating the false self, that parasite that wants nothing good for you, wishes you nothing well, and seeks only to siphon your magical power to reinforce the shadow realms of civilization, ignorance of the truth, rape of the earth, and capitalistic greed.
Put your earnestness into this request. Be open about what you want. Own your desire to connect with your power and use your magic to transform this world into something whole and beautiful.
You have opened the portal…your life will change.
Sometimes Saturn works explosively, especially if you really lean into the ego death in your quest….but….
…. not everyone is ready for that. Saturn, like all of our celestial deities, adapts to where each person is and what they require for growth.
For most, Saturn begins a slow, irreversible process of loosening up the grip of the false self.
Your magical power will begin to shine through...with more and more magic revealing itself to you day-by-day.
V. GNOSIS
The students of GNOSIS will be performing a more complex version of this ritual together on February 6th, harnessing this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with Saturn at his most angelic.
However, if you can’t be in GNOSIS, you can use these same instructions on February 6th.
We all deserve the opportunity to empower ourselves. And the rising tide lifts all ships.
We are in this business of stewardship together, after all.
