exclusivity is mean and awesome - on WEALTH's application process
So judging from my Instagram comments, the fact that we exclude some people from the WEALTH membership via our brief application process (WEALTH opens again for application / registration today!)...
... seems to rub a bunch of folks the wrong way.
Of course, this delights me, so I figured I should take a little time to expound upon the topic.
"Why are you excluding people? Shouldn't spiritual teaching be for everyone? Excluding people is so mean."
Mmm. Well, first, historically speaking, the kind of esoteric teaching my husband Taia and I are doing in WEALTH was thought to be for very, very few people. We're madly transparent and open by comparison.
Second; yes, it is very mean in that it involves rejecting some people.
Having to reject some people comes as a natural consequence of the fact that I don't like everyone. I don't want to work with everyone.
This "being mean" is also called "having self-respect."
I've coached and taught online courses since 2015. In that time, I've found out that I have distinct preferences:
I want to work with people who take leadership roles in their lives and communities; not with people who lack vision and drive to create transformation.
I want to work with people who take full responsibility for their own experience of life; not with people who love to feel offended and find scapegoats to blame for their every discomfort and disappointment.
I want to work with people who have a buoyant sense of humor; not with people who take themselves so seriously that they can't erupt in big belly-laughs.
In WEALTH, we have a lot of fun, our members get fantastic results (click here to see video testimonials from people in WEALTH and my past courses) and we also do intensive study and practice.
We provide simple Foundational Group Practices that keep us all united and on the same page....
... plus a dazzling array of Hermetic arts mentorship events and many virtual parties called Power-Ups each month.

... we offer weekly group coaching sessions on our practices with our wonderful Coach Community leaders whom we've personally trained...
... we occasionally bring in amazing guest teachers ...
... we assign and discuss reading in important occult, psychological, and philosophical texts...
.... plus we have a lively MightyNetworks forum for peer connection and a Q&A thread and monthly audio recording so members can have questions answered directly by me and Taia....
... this kind of raw alchemical connection and intensive study and practice is simply not for everyone.
It's for people who have prepared for it by showing up with zest in their lives, and who truly want it.
Running this membership program is not just a job for me and Taia, it's a major part of our life's calling and our commitment to create a revolution of magical lucidity in the collective psyche.
We're not interested in having people join WEALTH just so we can get customers; we're interested in forming a tight-knit, global network of thousands of astonishing magicians....

Taia and I are not just looking for the kind of people whom we know we'll most enjoy and can most benefit; we're looking for the kind of people whom it's important for us to weave together in order to create the beautiful shift in the Anima Mundi that we want to see.
As Jidenna remarked to his rivals: "I got a hundred year plan / you just think about today / always been about time / more than been about pay."

Taia and I have a 1000 year plan, we're way more about time than we are about pay, and that's why WEALTH is exclusive.
So to that end, you can't just buy membership in WEALTH. You fill out a brief application; you submit the application, then make the first month's payment (it's $99)....
... then my team reviews the applications, and within 7 days my team refunds and notifies anyone who doesn't get in.
"Ouch, what if I apply and I don't get in?"If you apply and don't get in, you'll probably experience at least a twinge of disappointment or embarrassment. You might feel rejected. These feelings usually are not pleasant.
It's okay though. Really it is. A twinge won't kill you.
Risking feelings of rejection and disappointment over and over and over and over again is the only way anyone has ever reached any meaning or beauty in life.
It's the brave, powerful thing to do.

.... likewise, 'Tis better to have applied to WEALTH and lost than to have never applied at all.
"If I apply and don't get in, does that mean I'm the kind of person you don't like?"
No! We don't have a fool-proof sorting hat!
If you apply and get rejected from WEALTH, you might be fabulous. Or, you might be a visionless blame-happy self-serious harpy. Who knows?
What it means is that from the short written application we weren't able to positively discern that you're the kind of person I do like.
In other words, applying and getting declined means nothing conclusive about you.
It means what you decide it means.... and it's a great chance to do Existential Kink practice.
I've spent a lot of time working with the sensations of rejection in Existential Kink practice, and I've discovered there's a hilarious paradox that opens...
... in that the more willing I am to feel rejected and disliked, the more secret taboo delight I let myself have in those feelings of rejection...
.... the more accepted and welcome I tend to become by others, because I'm no longer rejecting and dislking a part of myself (the part that delights in rejection and "being disliked"!)
So on the major plus side, if you apply and get rejected to WEALTH, you'll have an excellent opportunity to practice getting off on those "bad, wrong" sensations, which in itself can turn your whole life around for the way better ;)
