Here's a little something I wrote in response to a brilliant woman leader who felt a bit down and powerless when a guy she's dating didn't text her back.

From my long single years I sure know what that "waiting for him to text me back" feels like,ugh. So intense.

And from those years I learned a thing or two, so this is what I told her:

The fact that he hasn't texted you is a testament to your kinky shadow power to generate a hot sensation of rejection.

Seriously contemplate: would you even be able to like a guy at all if he didn't give you at least a little jolt of that from time to time?

And does your heart / body even really want to talk with him right now or are you actually full for the time being ... and your ego just wants to feel in control?

Ego control and your true electric Eros sex power are not remotely identical ...

... and for me I've discovered trying to use my electric sexual energy in service of my ego always makes me crazy.

Consider:

1) The actual power (orgasm, Eros, Shakti, whatever we want to call it) that moves through you is not "yours" and it's not "mine" -- it IS the GODDESS.

... after all, you didn't create yourself, did you?

Did you put your heart and mind and soul and body together using some duct tape and cardboard that you found lying around the house?

No, of course not, you're a mysterious emanation of THE GODDESS and she has lent you a stream of her electromagnetic power.

2) This power may seem to give you some ego wins from time to time...

... AND it's ultimate purpose is to have you fall so deeply, pathetically, stupidly in love with life-as-it-is in every moment (including the moments where you don't get texts, and including the ones where eventually you're married or whatever to a fabulous guy and he still has the AUDACITY to not do what you think you want him to do all the time)....

.... to have you fall so deeply and pathetically in love with life-as-it-is that your ego is annihilated into a bloody pulp and you are purified by the never-ending ordeals (like Psyche in her pursuit of Eros was purified by the ordeals of supremely bitchy Aphrodite)...

.... to become a more awake and surrendered Channel of HER - Ishtar / Aphrodite / Babalon / Red Tara / Kurukulle / Shakti -- the Great Goddess of Love and War, however we want to name her.

Lust is usually called Strength in other decks -- and it's an important symbol to contemplate during up-coming Leo season,
an archetype of deep surrender and the joyful power that comes with it

3) The purpose of all romantic / erotic love is never to shore up our ego control, but to take us into a state of surrendered out-of-control disgusting bliss in life-however-it-is.

Of course this bliss is not actually disgusting - it's gorgeous - but it sure does seemdisgusting and pathetic to our ego to actually deeply enjoy whatever's happening in our life...

Think about it: imagine someone beamed right into your life and body...

.... and this person turned out to be wildly happy and massively turned on about every last little detail of your existence, from the aches in your back to the bills on your table to the unanswered text message from the guy you like...

.... wouldn't you think this person who was so capable of delighting in every embarrassing and mundane facet of your life.... was kind of disgusting and pathetic and stupid?

Well, that's HER, that's the Goddess, the Great Holy Whore who freely gets off on everything - our egos habitually think She's disgusting and pathetic and stupid, and meanwhile She's Who We Really Are, and HER bliss creates all-that-is.

4) Visualize yourself as a giant stream of electricity, and put all thoughts of resentment or frustration into this electric, out-of-control surrendered disgusting bliss stream that-you-actually-are.... in this way, the the resentful thoughts can be burned up so your energy can stay strong and present.

5) All thoughts and feelings of frustration and resentment in "not getting what we want" exist solely as a reaction formation, a false inhibition to keep you from feeling the precise out-of-control orgasmic way that you are being expertly stroked, caressed, touched by the Universe right now.

Freud is very out of fashion now, but the old man knew a thing or two about how the unconscious works, and from what I can tell we're all way more subject to reaction formations than we like to admit.
These reaction formations serve to push life and other people away from the most sensitive, hot, and erotic spots in our being -- so we think we're being rudely tortured at the very moments when life is touching us in the most hot, kinky ways that we most secretly (secret even from ourselves!) long to be touched.

6) The linear mind that worries and resents thinks that it's the best means of organizing our life so that it works. It is not.

7) The surrendered, nonlinear, joyful, out-of-control Shakti power in you is the most intelligent organizing field of events and opportunities, much more so than the worrying linear mind.

Carl Jung said that all synchronicity happens in the presence of an activated archetype.

Well, this deep ecstatic receptivity of the Goddess is an archetype that generates some of the very best, most exquisite synchronicities.

In order to allow the magic of your life to be organized by this field (the very same organizing field that creates all the beauty and ferocity of Nature) ...

....continuously practice letting go fo the "I know what's going on and I'm in charge here" attitude of control, and burn up the complaints and worries of the ego / linear mind in the stream of that electric Shakti energy... which, again, is what you and everything else are actually are fundamentally made of.

This will make you extremely attractive to all living things.
