I want to give my most humble sincere thanks to all of you writing in via email and on Instagram with your excitement about WEALTH ;) Your excitement delights and fuels me.
Read MoreIn WEALTH in November for Scorpio season, we'll be doing altar work with the Money spirit, a face of Hermes.
(WEALTH is all about the Hermetic arts - Hermes is the Greek god of money, magic, and meaning - connected to the Egyptian Thoth, the Norse Odin, to the Roman Mercury, and to Jesus Christ via an identification as "the Logos.")
I figured that all you reading out there in internet land might want a taste of exactly what this is like.
As a leader, you've already come SO FAR and done SO MUCH. And yet, with all this progress that you've made, maybe you still feel the tug of something missing.
You might have the sensation of being in bondage to cash, of there never being more-than-enough... a feeling made more acute by pandemic-time worries.
You might feel creatively stuck, like your most impressive feats no longer even interest you anymore.
Worst, you might feel alone, like the people around you don't fully "get" you at the level you yearn to be "got."
These "plateau" kind of stuck sensations happen for all powerful leaders and influencers as they grow out of previous ways of being.
Virgo revels in illuminating the secrets of pleasure, the invisible strands of sympathy and longing that bind all the intricacies of the created world together.

I recommend you round up some friends and give it a go, it's not only a heart-warming activity, it's deeply pragmatic.
In my work I help people find another relationship to desire that ends this problem of boredom, stuckness, not-good-enough-ness.
How? By showing how to let our desire be as BIG as it truly is -- Vast, endless Eros for life - falling in love with every (gross, "bad") part of ourselves, with life and death themselves....
… and thereby find the kind of invincible love that doesn't wither in the face of resentment but instead burns hotter, brighter, weirder.
Why, I wondered for a long time, why is it not possible for me to reach all my aims in life while remaining entirely horizontal on a curvy velvet couch, being fanned with giant ostrich feathers by well-oiled Roman soldiers?
Gradually, though, an idea struck into my head: what if, instead of ritually berating myself and giving up when I forget or just slack off on an important new habit or daily practice...
... what if I just did a simple renewal ritual instead, and then pick up where I left off?
Read MoreOnce, one's Fate was also understood to be a very important spirit that could be worked with.
In Persia, the Magi (literally the group where the term "magic" comes from) called this spirit the Fravashi. The Romans called it the Genius, and set up altars in their homes to honor it. The Greeks called it the Agathosdaimon, the Good Spirit. In Great Britain, these spirits were called the Fae and regularly given offerings.
They understood this: in order to wield influence over anything in creation, you need to love it completely. Not love it a little, not love it possessively, not love it graspingly or anxiously - but just love it with whole-hearted, deep, surrendered love.

Read MoreI find keeping an Alchemical Journal so vastly important and so useful that I've decided to teach about it more widely.
The practice is simple, and maybe even "obvious" to anyone who's been around a few occult or self-development blocks, but the truly magnificent power of it comes when one commits to it over time... and sustains that commitment.
The energy is rather apocalyptic lately, wouldn't you say? A global pandemic, mass civil unrest to protest racial injustice, ongoing concerns about climate change - plus, a glowing orange orb-like creature serving as the U.S. president.
My friend and colleague Perri Chase is leading and holding an event called Apocalypse: Transmission 2020 - and I'm in it! Click to hear what I have to say about the current energetic portal into the newly emerging awareness.
Read MoreHere's a little something I wrote in response to a brilliant woman leader who felt a bit down and powerless when a guy she's dating didn't text her back. From my long single years I sure know what that "waiting for him to text me back" feels like, ugh. So intense.
And from those years I learned a thing or two, so this is what I told her: The fact that he hasn't texted you is a testament to your kinky shadow power to generate a hot sensation of rejection.
Today I want to address the third common stumbling block people encounter when they first start to work with Existential Kink practice.
(To know what I’m talking about, please go ahead and read the first few chapters of Existential Kink here.)
I call the third stumbling block “grabbing for the goodies.

Today I want to keep encouraging you in your journey by addressing the second common stumbling block to super-successful Existential Kink practice.
Read MoreThe first of the stumbling blocks people encounter when they begin to practice EK is the temptation to self-blame, or what I like to call “the Wrong & Bad Program.”
The Wrong & Bad Program says that if at a deep unconscious level you’re responsible for everything in your experience (as EK philosophy suggests), and your experience is painful or difficult..,
… then that means it’s because you suck.
Read MoreAs far as I'm concerned, there is literally zero difference between psychology (the study and evolution of the psyche) and magic.
In other words, no one has ever encountered anything... not a tree, not another person, not a building, not the most rigorous scientific experiment...
... anywhere outside of their own subjective psyche.
It's the 4th of July, Independence Day here in the U.S.A., and officials have canceled most of the traditional fireworks celebrations due to pandemic concerns.
The egregore of the U.S.A. will not be fed in the same way this year, and this gives an interesting magical opening.
